At the moment, things are changing on a regular basis and our routines are no longer the same. You can't all come into school to do your learning and you might be at home all day with your adults. Changes in our routines can can cause us to feel different emotions such as becoming anxious, uncertain or worried about what's going on.

"If you find you're worrying so much it's hard to do other things, speak to a friend or trusted adult about how you're feeling" - Mental Health Charity, Young Minds.

If you're learning remotely, it can be tricky to adjust. We thought we would share with you some useful tips and advice for coping with these changes and how to stay motivated!

Find and stick to a routine

A routine is something you have control over and can help you feel more secure. When you're learning at school, you have a timetable displayed in the classroom for the day and that doesn't have to change when you're at home. Grab a whiteboard or piece of paper and create a timetable - details on when you'll be working, when you'll have your lunch and don't forget those important breaks! You can pretend to be the teacher and put the lessons in the order you would like!

Stay Motivated

Get rid of any distractions you might have around you. Being in a quiet place might help! You may have a specific seating plan at school so get yourself a designated desk space at home too! Phones can also be very distracting, so lock it away, put it in drawer or give to an adult to keep safe. The less distractions you have, the quicker you can get your work done.

Another useful strategy to keep motivated is to create to-do lists or set yourself targets. You could reward yourself with a snack or break once you have completed 20 minutes of work?

Stay Active and Look after Yourself!

Getting fresh air and daily exercise is super important for your mental health too! Go for a bike ride or jump on your scooter, walk to the shops, play football outside or take your dog for a walk!

Below is a really helpful Newsround video to watch that recaps what we have mentioned above! Why don't you give it a watch for some useful tips to keep you motivated and happy at home.
