Today we spotted some year 6's learning about gaming and online safety so we thought we'd blog some of their thoughst!

For our new topic game on, we discussed rules and how online games don't have as many rules as offline games. I think online, people don't stick to the rules because they want to win- in a game of football, there is a ref to look make sure everyone is playing properly, but online there is nobody to check the rules are being followed. If I see someone not doing rules in the future, I will report them because I now know I'm the ref. Plus there is rules for a reason. We want everyone to have a fair game and a fair chance at winning. It's not fun if people cheat. - Morgan

Today, we have discused rules on different games for example ( video games, boared games and arcade games.) Also we have discovered year 6's online stories. We learnt that despite online gameing being fun, you must follow the age restriction furthermore the rules should applied. We wrote down notes of what the term game means we also wrote on our whiteboards a veriety of different kinds of games! - Grace

Today we have been learning about what to do if someone is cyber bullying you and how to block and report someone.

First tell and show a responsibile adult what they have said then go on to help and press the report button and write what you are reporting them for then press send next press the block button the press ok that way they will not be able to contact you in any way on the online game and will not be able to harrase you.

Opinion:

In my opinion the online chat should be removed because then you can only talk to people you know by phone calling them.

Opinion:

I think that there should be a parent control on these chats because of all the danger or bulling the danger can be sharing you personal information like were you live or meeting someone who could lie about their age or there gender bulling being called names and being made fun of because you are different.

Opinion:

Why not to be mean online:you should not be mean online because it ccan hurt others and make them upset it could also scar them inside and they will not forget about it and it could also effect them in a huge way.
