The Big Day!

After months of planning, the big day had arrived!

We led a session with our classes, an assembly and a session led by our teachers all to show us more about being safe online.

On online safety day, Mr Newberry kindly gave us the assembly to talk to the whole school. The assembly was based on online safety. As we only had an hour, we had to choose our themes carefully to maximise the impact. We choose share aware, comminucating with parents and the introduction of our worry box.

During the assembly, we showed them a drama about the worry box. The year 6 mini techies also read out a story which the moral was to tell an adult before going online- it was based on lots of famous fairytale characters so the children really enjoyed this! We also looked in detail about how to check that photos we are posting online aren't giving away important information. We used this photo in the assembly for the children to investigate how much they could information they could extract about the children.
