Online Safety Pocket Policy

On online safety day we introduced the pocket policy to all of the classes. The pocket policy is a little booklet designed by the mini techies, staff, governors and parents and guardians of our school. We believe that the pocket policy can help our peers to do the right thing online. It is good to read because it teaches kids online safety lessons about where they can get help from. We think it is super important every knows exactly where to find out information about online safety

You can store your pocket policy in your pencil case or tray and on the back there is a QR code that takes you to the mini techie blog. We think that having it on you at all times can be really useful so you can get it out at any time and check something or remind yourself of something.

Our classes really enjoyed reading the pocket policy- lots of children liked that it was so small and it had pages to write notes on if they wanted to remember something they learnt extra to add in! One year six class were very interested in Childline being a source of help and we discussed how to use their online chat service in assembly too.
